About GenLab Collective
Founded in 2021, GenLab Collective is a non-profit ground-up initiative run by a team of youths where we aim to bridge the generation gap within our community. We provide a platform for people from different generations to share, learn and collaborate with the aim of bridging generation gaps in the longer term.Through this, we also hope to provide a platform for seniors to share their unique experiences, knowledge and skills with the young generations.
Our Mission
GenLab Collective aims to bridge the generation gap within our Singaporean community to create a more inclusive society that respects all ages and differences.
Using our unique value-add of narrative storytelling and listening, we bring people of all ages together to connect, collaborate and co-create. We aim to partner educational institutions, corporates and community organisations through training and capability building in achieving our goals.
Our Aims
- Bridge the generation gap across the ages in our community through meaningful and in-depth conversations
- Provide a platform for individuals of all ages to collaborate and co-create, with the aim of promoting intergenerational relationships
- Preserve seniors’ life stories and their legacy
- Provide emotional comfort and promote cognitive stimulation for seniors
- Empower seniors by providing them with a platform to share their valuable wisdom, experiences and skills
