This is certainly a most welcome platform; GenLab is building bridges when so many others are building walls.I appreciate what the team is doing. I think the importance of intergenerational bonding and relationships is to live a healthy, happy and long life depends on the quality and quantity of relationship with our friends and love ones.

We're thankful for the partnership we have with GenLab. Through their programmes, the students learnt about intergenerational issues and had opportunities to work closer with various seniors on projects. The guidance from Keerthana and her volunteers value-added to the students' learning. It is heartwarming to see the bonds that the seniors and students formed through the projects!

It has been our pleasure to work with the creative and thoughtful team from GenLab Co. Their innovative intergenerational programmes have not only bridged gaps between youths and seniors but also illuminated the challenges seniors face, enriching our community. Their commitment to creating meaningful, shared experiences is transformative for the field and inspires us at KampungKakis!

It has been exciting working with GenLab and especially with Keerthana! The team is passionate about ways to promote intergenerational bonding and think out of the box in their programming, bringing new sparks to mmm in Intergenerational communication and learning more about each other!

I have had the privilege to work with Genlab for about two years and have found the experience most rewarding. My volunteer work with them included joining a sandbox project team with several students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where a group of seniors worked with some students to curate an Emotional Resilience teaching video. I enjoyed the project very much. It gave me an opportunity to work closely with youths. This gave me good insights into the way they think and express themselves, and surprisingly they were most open and receptive to us seniors guiding them and sharing our views with them. I also volunteered as a emotional wellness speaker for Genlab where the audience comprised both students and their parents. The underlying concept of Genlab’s work – creating platforms and opportunities to blend and bond the inter-generational gap – is very good. Their initiatives are strategic, working with various partners – to curate and deliver programs that facilitate inter-generational bonding. I will continue to support Genlab’s work and would encourage seniors with corporate experience to also join Genlab’s pool of senior volunteers.

GenLab was able to connect with the nursing students and provide them with useful insights on how to work with the senior generations focused on the clinical setting through the civic challenge workshop that we had organised in Feb 2024.

The GenLab team has given their full support throughout the GenNarrates project we had in 2023, by providing training to the SUSS students, organised the interactive sessions, activities and provided assistance and feedback to better facilitate the intergenerational discussions, ensuring the entire project progressed smoothly as per timelines and plans.

GenLab has supported us in collating messages of kindness from our community and facilitating intergenerational activities during our Community Kindness Carnival 2023 to raise awareness of how a little kindness can go a long way!
