Public bridge building events and activities
Public bridge building events and activities. We organise several public events focused on promoting quality intergenerational relationships and bonding.
I. GenDate
GenDate is GenLab Collective’s bi-annual key flagship public intergenerational bonding workshop series where participants join in pairs, i.e. where within each pair, the age gap is at least 20 years apart. Being one of GenLab Co.’s public bridge building events, anyone can take part in this workshop with a different theme of focus for each of the workshops. Senior expert speakers will be invited to share their expertise on the workshop focus areas and participants would engage themselves in a series of specially curated activities facilitated by the GenLab Co. team.
II. GenTrip
A fun and interactive outdoor learning activity suitable from families to corporates. Our current series of GenTrips are organised in partnership with National Museum and are held once every 3 months. Check out our programmes page for dates on upcoming ones!
Intergenerational narrative storytelling programs
These programs are specially curated and customised with our partners depending on their needs and objectives. The duration of the programs can range from as short as half-day program to several months. Contact us for more details.
Experiential workshops for educational institutions
Experiential workshops for educational institutions (from primary to tertiary levels). These workshops are focused on building capabilities of students to interact with seniors on different fronts depending on the school’s needs and nature of the project students are involved in. The types of workshops available are:
I. Reminiscence and Narratives Workshop
Learn to craft effective narratives from seniors’ stories and learn key interviewing techniques and skills for working with seniors.
II. Futures Thinking Workshop
Envision the possibilities of the future through guided facilitation by the GenLab Collective team and learn how to support and work with seniors in encouraging them to envision the future.
